Walking 45:00 [1] 1.5 mi (30:00 / mi)
(injured)

A little walking around a parking lot while Angelica orienteered at Joe Grant. Foot moderately achy most of the day despite ~1600 mg of Ibuprofin (although didn't ice at all until late evening.) Foot felt hot/uncomfy in same shoes/orthotics all day...

Walking 20:00 [1] 1.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
(injured)

A bunch of random walking around airports with heavy bags. Foot generally pretty unhappy, perhaps due to the plane ride as much as anything else. Took ~ 1600mg advil, but it didn't see to be doing all that much. Maybe the tes poking at the doc. appt., or the two days of pseudorunning prior to that did a little damage.

Note

Saw podiatrist today. He thought Dr. Cohen had it right and there was some muscle cover/tendon thing going on near/below the peroneous longus tendon groove.

Suggested spending 1 week on heavy advil and 100% orthotics (even indoors) to try to knock down inflamation to 0 first, before resumption of activity. If heavy advil (I'll add ice too) doesn't work, he suggested a new orthotic, which I'll probably do (it would be convenient, at least, even if I do eventually work my way out of them.)

Walking 15:00 [2] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
(injured)

Walking/slow running on snow pulling AJ in sled. Probably more abuse than my foot needed, but it was a lot of fun.

Walking 15:00 [2] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
(injured)

Walking/shoe-xc-skiing on crusty snow. Foot felt fine, even in PM despite a somewhat harder outdoor exercise than recently allowed. It did it in snow in a fairly low impact way...

Other Aerobic (Elliptical Trainer) 30:00 [3]
max:180 (injured)

Switch to bike at 23 minutes because R-IT getting sore. Did intervals on Elliptic and one on bike to a Max. HR of 180. Hard, but not impossible.

2x10x4 ex. & ice.

Foot still mildly sore walking around and a little sore sitting. I probably need to go see a podiatrist again.

Other Aerobic (Elliptical Trainer) 27:00 [3]
(injured)

Then did Gym weights, incl. R-hip. R-IT and R-foot were a bit more sore than the day before. Perhaps it was the snow fall.

AM & PM 2x10x4 ex. for foot + foot/ankle rotation/exercise.

R-foot feels a little stronger. It was a litle sore walking around the parking lot chasing AJ, but with lots of little walks it was rarely more than just noticable. R-hamstring was a bit strained. I wonder if it was the weights?
