Finishing the journey home, big work project, sleep. Maybe not a full rest week but happy not to have any plan today. Not such an empty tank as after sometimes at woc (quite literally, i think ive been eating much better) and looking forward to some autumn races where the pressure is less and i can just enjoy trying to get more from myself.

Middle f. Too much tension in body and brain (i think when people say they found their worst shape on the big race day they usually mean something like this?) but an okay start even if it was heavy and slow. Then some irreversibly big damage as soon as there was a difficult control. Even though i did everything right these past few weeks there was no big disaster or drama to distract me enough from my own pressure. But then even though it all felt very empty i ran the best race i could. It was the only performance goal i could have at that point.

Middle q. Slow but quite stable until i suddenly lost confidence half way, bailed to what looked at a glance to be the safe line, was not when i used it to make two mistakes, quite a lot of time lost. Then a bit less confident but safe enough.
