Orienteering (Relay Champs Green) 51:09 [5] 4.68 km (10:56 / km) +195m 9:03 / km
spiked:9/13c (sick)

US Relay Champs - 4 Point Team - Owen's Express - Jon Morse (OR), Dennis Struble (BR), Clint Morse (GR), Tim Parsons (RE). A decent run for me with a couple route choice errors, a couple hesistation errors, the last 3 controls my glasses fogged to the useless point and I ran pretty blind. Deducting my errors, I otherwise ran about 9.5 min per kilometer. If I was healthier, perhaps it would have been more like 8.5-9 min/km.

Orienteering (GMOC Red (partial)) 1:08:52 [3] 4.0 km (17:13 / km)
(sick)

Ran Red, but had an Asthma attack around the 3rd control. Couldn't run, hard to focus on navigation. Sat down for a spell to recover between 4 & 5 and realized the slopes were steeper than mapped and in fact, I wasn't even on the map anymore.

Kept going at a wheezing walk, drifting a bit on controls but getting through #9 and deciding that although I could finish at a walk, I really needed to get back in to help at the Finish, so I opted to DNF and jog the trails back in. Seeing the more open woods on the west side on Sunday, I probably could have continued and finished in reasonably good shape had I continued, but after thrashing miserably on the east side for over an hour, I had given up... The woods (and asthma) had beaten me today...

Run - Mixed
(sick) (rest day)

The cold that won't go away. Busy schedule and really couldn't motivate myself to go out today since I can barely breath. Hope this clears up by Saturday..

Run - Mixed (Lake & Back) 26:54 [3] 6.1 km (4:25 / km)
(sick)

Out to the snip and back - mix paved / dirt road. Running in the dark using headlamp only when cars approached and on section of road with lots of potholes (don't need a turned ankle)
70ish, with humidity to match - near 100% dew point - fog just hanging on the glasses.
Just under 13 minutes out, just under 14 minutes back. Find it easier to push in the dark with no distractions....
