Rogaine race (Boom Boom 24 Hour Rogaine) 13:34:25 [3] 49.24 km (16:32 / km) +1230m 14:42 / km

Went out to do approx 90km and had planned 2 loops with the plan always to come back in for a feed in the middle of the night.

Went off great guns out to the south east and then heading to the SW of the map. We hit all but 2 controls and these were in the dark. My brain got seriously fried after dark and never recovered. Not even redbull and shots could get me going again. We were out on the far west of the map and I said to andrew lets make the chicken run back in. Got some serious chaffing that saw me walking like a cowboy for a while. We came in with the plan to get up early for a second loop in the morning after some breakfast.

Andrew woke me up around 6-630 and asked if I was ready to get going again. I hesitated a little given the chaffing was very painful but did not let into it. He then said he was not feeling well and that was it. Had some good breakfast, packed up the tents and went home. I am quite thankful as if I had gone out for another loop my chances of actually finishing the City to surf Half marathon in under 2.5 hours was completely gone.
