Orienteer (Mille Lacs Kathio) 1:07:00 [3] 4.3 km (15:35 / km)
shoes: Icebug Spirit-L olx

didn't bring my own SI, didn't save the sheet, so no link today.
Felt really good, orienteering was pretty much right on despite the tricky terrain. The swamps sure make it easier, even though things are somewhat subtle and similar.
Mosquitos were the worst issue, even with tons of bug spray. Enough to drive someone craaazzzzyyyy. I hear that the feeling was unanimous and MLK has been banned from summer buggy running.

Orienteer (Jay Cooke) 2:48:00 [3]
shoes: Icebug Acceleritas-L

Ran the short rogaine, solo. I haven't orienteered in so long that I kind of wondered if I still liked it as much as I used to and the fortunate thing was that the answer was 100% absolutely yes.
Had some issues hitting the first control on the 24000:1 map - had some lack of trail issues, and then the second one I hit right on but went to the wrong "top" of the hill, and swung around for a 20 minute detour back to the same spot and went to the other top of the same hill (saddle). Oh well. After that things went pretty great; I tried to sneak over the bridge to avoid the run of shame past the start after taking over an hour on three easy controls but was spotted. The best part of orienteering shame OUGHT to be that it's private. Oh well. The good ones were seen by no one on the other hand. I think I got 70 points, could've had 80 but wasn't so sure that I could hoof it back in time but it ended up not being a problem.

Run (river road) 27:00 [3] 3.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT 2000

A draggy day at work, still feeling run down but haven't had a chance to rest yet so not too worried about it. Run was the most energy I've had all day, felt smooth and relaxing.
