Orienteering 1:52:00 [3] 6.4 km (17:30 / km)
rhr:47 slept:8.5 weight:144.2lbs

Orienteering at Mt. Tom in Holyoke.

While I used to run all the trails on Mt. Tom, when I lived in Easthampton, it has been years since I've spent much time in the park. Still as hilly as ever. :-)

Slowly getting used to navigating my way around an O-course, but nothing very good yet. At least I only ran past one control today--some modest improvement from recent meets. And slow seems to also fit any description of my speed, too.

Overall, a pleasant day to be out, so no complaints. Phil Bricker and his co-workers did a great job--but, alas, there weren't any cookies left for those who took more than a couple of hours. :-(

Trail Running 49:37 [3] 4.75 mi (10:27 / mi)
rhr:47 slept:9.0 weight:145.2lbs

Short run in Kennedy Park--but it was fairly chilly with the wind whipping up. I see that while it may have been 40 degrees F, it actually felt as though it were 26. Winter is acomin'. :-)

Trail Running 1:10:03 [3] 6.1 mi (11:29 / mi)
rhr:48 slept:9.0 weight:145lbs

Really didn't feel like running today, but it was too nice not to do something, so I plodded around Kennedy Park. Actually felt a bit better as the run went on. Maybe I'm still recovering from my race with Colette on Tuesday. :-)

Road running 1:16:15 [4] 9.0 mi (8:28 / mi)
rhr:50 slept:9.0 weight:144.6lbs

Decided to accompany Colette on the Lenox 9-mile loop, which meant that I would be forced to run a bit faster than I wanted to, but that's life. As it turned out, I couldn't keep up, so I did a detour and she caught up later. Well, at least she got a PR for the loop. :-)

I ended up running it about a minute slower than when I ran it by myself last week, but it seemed to take considerably more effort today than it did last time.
