Orienteering 3:44:00 [4] 13.9 km (16:07 / km)
rhr:47 slept:8.5 weight:143.8lbs

Obviously I need a bit more work on my orienteering--I think I'm OK on the running front, although not as fast as I'd like to be.

The Traverse was a fairly easy course, but when I lose concentration while reading the map, and then refuse to realize that I'm not where I think I am, well that just spells disaster. LOL

I easily lost 37-40 minutes at #10, mainly because I thought, at first, that I had just not been careful enough going into the point from the stone wall. But after 4-5 tries, I realized that my ability to follow a compass bearing for only 50-75 meters couldn't be that bad, and I finally bailed out to the trail to regroup, which, of course, I should have done after the second try, not the fifth. :-)

Still, pleased to have finished it, but not pleased with the time.

Dirt Road Running 41 [3] 4.0 mi (10 / mi)
rhr:47 slept:9.0 weight:143.8lbs

Had to visit Northampton today, so I did an easy run in the Meadows, my old stomping grounds when I used to work in Hamp and run home to Easthampton.

Trail Running 50:00 [3] 4.4 mi (11:22 / mi)
rhr:47 slept:9.0 weight:143.8lbs

Easy training run on trails up to Yokun Ridge in Lenox. Taking it easy this week in anticipation of the Traverse.

Trail Running 48:07 [4] 4.87 mi (9:53 / mi)
rhr:50 slept:9.0 weight:144.2lbs

Short run in Kennedy Park. Started gently and then picked up the pace; felt pretty good. Anytime I can hit 10 minutes per mile on trails I'm happy, but I'm also working hard.
