Orienteering race 44:47 [4] ***** 3.8 km (11:47 / km)

U.S. team trials middle at Blue Mountain. definitely my best race of the weekend. I only made one real mistake which was to the first control. the first half of the course was a bit slow, but at control 8 I caught up to Randy so we motored through the rest of the course at a good speed.

Orienteering race 1:42:22 [4] ***** 8.6 km (11:54 / km)

U.S. team trials long at Blue Mountain. really complex area with lots of rock and contour detail. I had a decent race, but made some smallish mistakes, and could have made some better route choices.

Orienteering race 16:26 [4] **** 2.2 km (7:28 / km)

U.S. team trial sprint at Purchase College. really nice area. my race was not that great, I could have made some better route choices, push a bit harder in the running, and I didn't have very good flow.

Running 1:20:00 [3] 9.0 km (8:53 / km)

Running training with the O-group. started with 2 laps around the park for warm-up, then a short orienteering exercise. then did the ~1km loop around the park again but this time with speed (4:11). after that we ran to the grassy area by the transit-way where I did some controls were I had to jog to them the run fast back to the start.

Orienteering 53:00 [3] 5.7 km (9:18 / km)
ahr:170 max:188

Orienteering training at Cite des Jeunes. the exercise was on attackpoints, so at each control on the map there were two circles, a normal one and a larger one. within the larger one we had to find an attackpoint before carefully navigating into the control.
