West Point, Long @ Turkey Mountain
Not so nice terrain. Map is white but there was calf to waist high brush covering most of the area. Tough!
Wanted to get #1 good while I failed with that twice Saturday. Turned the map to see we had a long leg to #1, went slightly left to pick up the diffuse trail but never found it.. pulled too far left and wandered through all that green striped along the marsh, ugh. Pretty uninspired from there on.
To #2 I didn't simplify enough, just should have picked a few big features, very slow going up the hill and not very confident either. Went to the top of the hill and was walking around in the green there for a while before I realized, then went down but had trouble finding the control and almost gave up.. when I looked down and there it was, very well hidden.
#3 went fine, had my Gu while I had already been out for 40min(!)
Had some trouble and stood by one of the boulders N of #5 when I saw it. Took the long way around on the trails to #8, a bit of a break from the physical terrain. Veered a bit left for #9. In and out to #10 was painful.
#12 should have gone the road/trail around! (was tired and didn't want to run through the crowd) Went into the green way too early. This green wasn't bad by the way, like Mike said he could have run through that kind of stuff all day instead of the other crap. Anyway then I stumbled over a scary arrow and found a boulder with a control so understood I had to keep going.

Note
Mike told Jim that he had trouble out in the woods while he kept thinking that this woman's red/white shirt was his control, he looked up the hill and ran towards it but then it would move.. and Jim said: you should have punched her! =)
