gym replacement activity 2:00:00 [3]

Hot and hard - but not as bad if I left it until tomorrow
6 PM

Park Series (King Park) 46:06 [5] 5.2 km (8:52 / km)
shoes: bright pink

Very flat, very open a little bit hot and not a lot of thinking required. Criss crossed the ovals and then the ponds and then it was over.
Despite there being 27 controls the speedy boys had plenty of opportunity to get up a full head of steam, so my hope for 50% wasn't on the cards..

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [4]

Usual instructor off for 3 weeks on honeymoon so fill in Lewis. Had previous experience with him - talks non stop but does a really strong class - and so it was. Really enjoyed the session - just wish he had a mute button!

Note

Seems like my "rough" feelings this morning was related to undereating yesterday as well as some poor sleep over the past few nights.
9 AM

gym class (Cross Fit) 1:00:00 [5]

After today any activity formerly at Intensity 5 should be relabelled 4. Was only just able to get to class but toughed it out. Started to come good about 30 mins into class and then it got really tough. Big boys piked but returned later.
So hard - can't remember much except for the partner 3 run, chest lift, burpees sector. Liked the 4 corners section, but modified forward and backward jumps.

warm up/down 8:00 [2]
shoes: bright pink

Certainly not enough - but at least it was the right sort.

Park Run (Newy) 35:34 [5] 5.1 km (6:58 / km)
shoes: bright pink

Horribly horribly humid and sun emerged while I was driving to Newy. This is not going to be pleasant.
Eliz - 7:36 felt fairly good but time was way over what I thought I should be able to produce.
Cone - 17:22 I didn't feel like I'd gone too hard but just didn't have the perseverance to keep stringing sections together.
Eliz -27:38 Could tell I was fading, kept changing with Sheila. Legs really tight.
Finish -35:34 finished OK but know I was too easy to stop.
Talked to Carmel who gave me some tips about how to join the bits together.
Really noticed the prams and people today. The relative peace of Callaghan and Fingal are really appreciated.
Nice chat afterwards with Thomas, Joe, Bridget and UK friends Sheila and David.

gym class (Body Sculpt) 1:00:00 [5]

Planned activities were disrupted due to the usual gym February humidity problem with microphone. Can have 2 of 3 - mic or music or fans. Needed last 2 but ended up with first 2.
2 lap warm up run (urgh!) then pyramids 20-18-16 etc with legs - step ups, pushups - 1 lap run; 14-12-10 back - C&P, low rows, flys 1 lap run; 8-6-4-2- shoulders - press, upright lift, flys - 1 lap. Burpees, star jumps.
Outside - sprints, walking lunges in 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 of field length rotating.
back inside for core - 2 min hovers with side raises - that was nearly it!!!

Excellent session - feel good after it but terrible on first lap. Needed warm up for the warm up.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:05:00 [3]

11 AM

gym replacement activity 1:30:00 [3]

Actually more but it is getting easier - though no less sweaty and certainly no more exciting.
5 PM

exploring (Field checking) 44:00 [2]

Walked to and from Henry park and did field check of park for forthcoming Cubs CATI orienteering event. Fantastic little park with some real hills, a huge rockface (well if you are 6) and a long slope to roll down if not careful (or if very calculating). Can work with 2 courses plus activity area.
