paddle training for Tri-loppet. Probably a bit light on the effort for true training. We did a few fast legs, but a lot of chatting with MoBiz and the Danes.

Started out a little hot, really got the heart going. I was a bit apprehensive with the recent calf issues, and it barked a little, but held up OK.

I had a little trouble in the thick stuff. Hard to orient when you can't see 10' and you are looking for a small form line hill. totally blew one control, but I understand that most that were in the correct location, didn't find it either. I was well north, and skipped due to time constraints.

Made it in with 1:50 ish to spare. 15 of 23. Good for 8th.

I had to be at work from 7:30 to 8:30, so I decided to go for a run, vs. work....

About mile 6 I felt a little twinge in my calf, but I shook it off, and felt pretty good for another 5 miles or so... As soon as I got on the pavement around Normandale Lake, my calf bit back hard. The limp of shame for the last miles back to campus...

Quick run. Really tired today. Have not been going to bed early and think I am in a deep hole... Stopped for a bit to talk to the neighbors who were out for a walk. Wanted to go slow. Didn't work out.
