Jog at Antioch Park. Not going to read too much into the slowish pace. I don't really go fast for the first two miles when I run anymore. Plus it was pretty warm, and I didn't have caffeine this afternoon. Kind of planning on running for 50 minutes, but I came across Madleiane and Clementine rambling and thought I should just cut it short.

Workout was fairly unremarkable.

Another lady on the treadmill at the same time had a Springsteen shirt on from the Rising tour. Thought about asking about it, since I've seen him live a few times. But, generally, listening to his music and going to shows has sort of just been something that happened to me, since my dad is huge fan. I'm just okay with the Boss myself, and I figure if someone's into him enough to wear a shirt I'd run the risk of being a Debby Downer. I actually like Springsteen's politics more than his music, the converse of what I've heard many say here in Kansas City.

Strength Training 30:00 [3]

Strength Training at Roeland Park.

I don't really need to go to a gym for my current program. I do seem to be a bit more disciplined about warming up before and stretching after when I'm there though. Plus it's probably good for the exercises to be a just a smidgen different than they are at home for some minor muscle confusion.

This week's routine is:
Freehand squats (2 x 25)
Sit-ups (2 x 15)
Push-ups (2 x 12)
One-arm dumbbell rows (2 x 8, 35 lbs)
Freehand lunges (2 x 12)

My rough goal is to work up to 3 sets of 25 reps for each exercise.

Kind of sore when I woke up. Think it was lingering from Saturday's concretetastic hood hunt. Felt a lot better after today's workout and stretching. Glad I didn't take it easy.
