I don't care much for urban orienteering any more, been there, done that, won the Brick. I was under the impression that we weren't staying for this race so i hadn't brought my sprint shoes, socks or shorts. Still it was a decent event.

Lost some time on a few ctrls here and there but nothing major, a couple of minor route choice errors too. No more than a minute lost. They could have done with another timed crossing; I was waiting a good 20s to cross the main road going to 18. I couldn't keep the pace up once I got back into the old part of the town because I was a bit tired.

Even if Jake had done a good time, I don't think I could have won a sprint finish against Will Rigg tbh.

The hill after the start wasn't that bad, I just didn't have the energy to run it all. Matt E overtook me going up but had a longer gaffle on the top so I was in front coming back down.
2- slightly off
4- stopped short 10s
5- stopped short 5s
6- I knew I would come out to the south of the ctrl but I still stopped 15s
8- No real AP so I ended up doing a parallel error 1min

Orienteering race (BOC2012) 1:35:10 intensity: (1:00:00 @2) + (35:10 @3) *** 12.26 km (7:46 / km) +505m 6:26 / km

Took it really, really easy because in recent months this sort of distance has resulted in me running out of energy, I thought I paced it well but could have gone faster 20 onwards. I don't feel like I have gone on a run at all, just starving.
3- overshot 15s
4- silly not navigating 25s
17- thought the re-enternt was north facing not south 50s
26- bad rc 1min

Looking at the results, everyone did crap for some reason. I was expecting it to be won in 65-70min like the M20E course. If only I had done some training in the last year :L

The organisation seemed to go really smoothly, it was a lovely day and I had a nice easy run :)

To Japan and back. Its surprising that this is only the second time I have been on the bike since-

(No, I will not explain this so don't ask).
