Gym/Conditioning warm up/down (Parking Olympics)
shoes: Brooks CASCADIA 5

6 and a half hours, v. tiering.
Generally setting the car-park up and then carparking. Was actually quite enjoyable because you get to boss people about. We tried synchronised car directing and got ratings from drivers.

After my run I had to leave my car to direct ORIENTEERS out of the field. Mainly people getting the wrong attack point (maybe a 90 degree error) and not making the turn into the gate. One person dismissed me and took the corner at speed to show how good a driver he was, then crashed into the fence.

WarnCrag and Suicide

I was never going to try at this as of about a month ago, and just concentrate on the relays. You were not allowed to take a GPS, I don't have my map and I lost my splits... soo..

I really loved the bit in Greno especially the first 4 (downhill) controls, and the Wharncliffe rocky bit 20-25
2 Bad RC (15s)
Slightly disorientated going to 4 (ended up at the wrong corner of OOB) (30s)
5 not so good a RC
7 The Louth made me go off my mental bearing (40s)
8 started navigating to 9 so The Louth overtook me (20s)
19 just disorientated (lost a fair bit) (1min 10s)
20 awful RC (I had planned the best route for a similar leg in preparation but just couldn't see it on the modern-looking map) (3min?)
23 went through the boulders and would have beat The Louth but fell over and stubbed my toe my knee and everything else

Basically that was when I stopped trying because I couldn't get the same speed over the rocky ground.
24 Could see I was slowing Tom so said that I had just seen Jack ahead, he was off like a shot
26-Fin walked the majority of it because I was out of energy (7min?)

Total racing mistakes about 3min + 1 v.bad RC. Racing position = 5th

A great day but tomorrows result will make tomorrow greater (carefully phrased)

20c (injured) shoes: Inov-8 MUDCLAW 272

I feel soo dizzy right now, its actually funny.
Basically it was an EBOR area with the steep valleys, theres not much else to say. I got the best RC on the 1.5-2.8km leg and walked after 7 because I was out of energy.
Probably got the longest finish climb-in split ever a 6.03

http://www.ebor.routegadget.co.uk/cgi-bin/reitti.c... GPS route is absolutely awful

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.6 km (6:15 / km) +10m 6:04 / km
