Orienteering race 2:08:33 [5] 11.6 km (11:05 / km) +480m 9:11 / km
shoes: New Balance Off Road 908

Canadian Team Trials Long, Sandy McNabb. A little bobble going to #1 misread the map and undershot the control because I wasn't use to the scale. Felt very tired form #1 to #2. (not a good sign) Got confused going to #5 wasn't sure were I was on the trail, once I figured it out I had to take another route to the control probably lost 8:37 but it didn't seem nearly that big of a mistake but I did end up going quit a distance out of my way due to poor navigation to the trail. To #7 the scale got me agian and I didn't go far enough-lost about 1:00. All was going well to #8 until about 200m away from the control, the scale screwed me up again and I didn't end up going far enough down the spur of the hill, lost-6:30. Going well to #9 until just 150m away from the control when the flat marshy area got me just like in the middle. Lost about 2:00 and then was in the control circle and didn't see the control so went back to relocate, total time loss- 5:50. To #10 nothing to say but I can't stay on a bearing for my life. This leg really pissed me off, lost-10:30.

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2]
