First ever night event. Not sure what to expect. Was planning to go slow, but when everyone sprinted off I figured it was actually a smart idea to try and keep up since we were running across no mans land for a fair way before getting to the first control.

Had a great run, only a couple of mistakes but had a lot of fun. Great area to run around. Pretty dusty and dirty though!~

My tummy has a heartrate over 200bpm!

NT Sprint Champs around the Uni Campus.
Still acclimatising to the heat, heart rate was easy to get up, so not too much warm-up.Also did my first ever warm-down from an orienteering event!

Nice area to run around the campus, with the finish around the dunes and dripstone cliffs. Didn't run flat out as wanted to be good for the next two days. Unfortunately didnt get a register on one of the controls so it ended up being a mp. was about 7 minutes off the pace of the winning time, but could keep up with Ian Meyer which was encouraging

Managed to focus on orienteering probably 30% of the time... Actually sat down at one point to try and focus.
Average HR of 136 tells the story how hard I was running...
Left calf hurting a lot every step, thought it would warm up but it didn't the entire way...
