Needed to brighten up my day or this period of days so went to Bear Brook, with map/course & compass. Darkish at start at 4:50. It had already rained at home. Wet boughs, esp hemlocks, seemed chilly. Mosquitoes in numbers but had a can pf repellent. In thick green and fairly open woods as well. Pretty good - then the sound of breeze which was really rain on top of the canopy. Not long after, the sky opened. Rain eventually got thru the cover. Got soaked. Took a recording of the noise. Good to get back to car to dry shirt and got going, heater on. I had the place to myself for some strange reason. Glad I went. Super hot shower at home to loosen the back. A sneeze hurt.
Got my computer back after three trips to the factory. Took this last Fed Ex delivery to the store today and opened it there. Finally, they replaced the logic board. Sx was flickering screen that worsened with use. It would become dark for as long as 20-30 seconds. I saw what the store tech wrote the second time: REPLACE the logic board" (sic). But the second time, they put in a new OS instead and again said "Your diagnosed and repaired product now passed all hardware testing". Finally, I directly sent the repair people a 75" video showing what I was experiencing. I'd showed the store people but that wasn't good enough. Now it seems to work. All hardware has been accounted for. But what do I know other than the annoyance. It is on a 3 yr warranty.

Nottingcook walk with Willow. Stayed on edge and went thru sandpit. Her first time seeing a sand dune, loosening small stones and chasing them down the slippery sand. Easy to please.

Back got more sore sailing the small boat on Sunday w/o a properly placed cushion or two.

Old Johnson Rd. with Willow. Cooler, not so many bugs, pleasant vs yesterday. Also OJR is a wide tunnel under the canopy with nice forest & decent views.
Merrymeeting in PM. Managed to capsize the Eclipse with Dylan at the helm - Juliette aboard, too & her first sail ever, Dylan's second. A baptism pf sorts. Turned turtle w/ 15' mast w/ sail pointing toward lake bottom. Peter & I got it upright but somehow broke the top of the centerboard.
