Drive to Williamstown via Rte 9 & 8/100. West of Brattleboro, it is so rustic & later just plain wilderness. No shortage of forlorn houses & structures, distant views, dark forests, still snow-covered ground. Weather change with a gusty warm south wind & light rain.

Penchant for cemeteries

Last of the Permanent O markers, 24 total. Warm, overcast & overdressed for bugs but none present. Big surprise in that someone - probably the town - cleaned up the biggest trash site in the forest as well as the wood debris by the WH roadside nearby...a mess going back perhaps 3 years.
