Note
Too tired/too much driving for a run. Rowayton to Bridgeport ferry to Petite Fleur in Holbrook to Brad's & finally out to Cedar Point. Had envisioned a run at Cedar Point but again ran out of time. Not able to camp Mon thru Wed before Memorial Day so drove into Sag looking for a motel. Very few & surprisingly, the one with the many rooms was entirely booked - price was $185/night which wasn't a match anyway. Ended up camping in Bobby's side yard (learned she's not lived there since 9/09 and not 9/10 as I had thought). 'Sensual' is the word that came to mind: a canopy of trees swaying with boughs 'murmuring and sighing' (along with a wind chime) in the lively NW wind...didn't sleep well at all but memorable.
Nursing homes are places where one takes a number and usually looks miserable (at considerable expense) while waiting to die. Bobby looked pretty good, her compatriots did not.
