Really fun course on the North end of Ward Pound Ridge by Niels.

Obvious that my forest training has been lacking. I was feeling heavy after the map flip. Happy with the technical side except for a few inefficiencies here and there.

Circuit Training 30:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (20:00 @4)

Finally feeling confident enough in my hamstring to get back to the Freeletics routine. Beating up my body.

Back to back intensity. Since the biggest climb around here is a puny 320 meters, doing intervals the day before a hard mountain climb helps to make the effort harder.

This idea worked pretty well. I was hurting bad on the way up. An even more powerful training effect. Easy day tomorrow.

6x800 on 2:30 rest at Yetter

First intervals since my injury. Slow, painful, frustrating. But everything else felt good. So the future looks clear right now to progress back to a high level of fitness.

Brought along this week's exercises to test them. I often find that I get tired of reading the map and lose motivation to keep doing the exercises. But then I remember how beneficial they are, and the motivation comes back.

Much better than the last one. I had the GPS orienteering app to make sure I could at least get the confirmation I punched each control. But it was quite slow because of how dense the canopy is.

But it was still very, very tough. I'll post the video from my GoPro later. Such low visibility and the vegetation kept pushing me around. I'm glad I was able to at least find the points. That's huge progress from last week.
