On the Walnutport spur of the D&L Trail, which heads both north and south from the bridge crossing the Lehigh River between Slatington and Walnutport, dead ending after about two miles in either direction. Parked on the Slatington side of the river. Also did a short stretch of the Slatington Heritage Trail. Upper 70s, mostly sunny. Most of the trail is dirt towpath, no pavement.
Many turtles of all sizes (and probably a few different species) sunning themselves on logs in the canal, several lock ruins, lots of wildflowers in bloom, birds, people fishing, boats on the river - plenty to see.

Trails on South Mountain (the one that Lehigh owns), starting from parking area off South Mountain Dr near I78. Low 70s, overcast and humid. Just slogged along. Explored one newer trail the mountain bikers have created - as if they needed another steep trail.

West End Regional Park. Sunny and 70 - quite nice. No mud, trails in good shape. Forgot my HR strap (also forgot my gloves - headed back for them after about 3 miles).
