Solid road ride w/Tom, Chad, Grant, Jesse, and a few others. Been a while since I've ridden my Tri bike, but thankfully held my own and climbed well on the hills too. My legs were crushed, so my goal for the O-meet was smart and steady!

Hilly O-meet set by Andrei. Legs were slow at the start due to my earlier bike in the day, so tried to focus on solid nav. Surprisingly felt better as the race went on and finished with a good pace on the tough course. The heavy downpours combined with the elevation led to quite a few DNFs. Afton can be one of our toughest places to run a course due to the elevation.
First meet in a while with no AP error time....

Back-to-back races with the MNOC Tune-Up on Sunday! Awesome!
Stayed at my parents place overnight with the rest of the GJ/WEDALI crew so the drive in the morning to the race was less than 10 min.
Raced w/Mo and we had our work cut out for us against Tom/Kelly and Andrei/Joy. The pace was fast from the start, so much so that it was hard to keep up with the 7+ pages of maps and directions. Had a few mistakes here and there, but were able to squeak away from Tom & Kelly on the paddle when the mis-read the directions and went back to the wrong TA. Mo and I were able to breathe a bit more after that - a little less crazy, but kept a firm pace. We pulled down the win, with Andrei/Joy taking 2nd and Tom/Kelly 3rd. Great course set by Mikey and Hoolia.
Times/distances are approximate. Total distance was 20 miles in 3:30:18.
