Kala trail run with Wil. We tried a new variation, which we knew was going to be a bit tricky in the dark and without map or compass. To head out from the Bibb trailhead south on a railtrail, sort of, and ultimately find the Pickering Brook shop/cafe, which we amazingly did, and then head back somehow. If all goes well we'd head back to find the bibb track, but as it turned out we were already stretched and so shortcutted it back up to the main Lesmurdie/Kala ridge and home.
I lost Wil ahead a few times which made things interesting as I didn't have a phone with me. Wil's fitness was supreme and my right knee was not having a great day - I suspect still a bit bruised from the running in Denmark, and the clambering on uneven terrain in the dark didn't help things, so was having a hard time keeping up. My running conditioning must have wained in the last few weeks as well. Did not bode well for the rogaine coming up, but glad we got out and did the run.
