Run up to the last hill of the Orchils mountain run, starting from the finish location in Stirling Uni where we were staying (with the Addidas Terrex team - Thor, Jon, Mark L, Abby, Brent). Got lost for part of the way. Felt good to run after the flight, and enjoyed the proper hill. Started raining at the top and the descent was a bit slippery - arrived back fully mudded. Found Jon at about the 3/4 mark.

Distance is an estimate. I was wondering how I'll go since I was quite tired on Sat and turned out the energy wasn't there at all. Ran ok to start with but definitely something lacking as I made lots of nav errors. And managed to run off the map for the first time that I can remember. Although this map was fairly unforgiving with an arbitrary border (ok with a small run down fence along it) and controls close to it. I haven't been able to find my gps since the Espresso race but it would have been an interesting trace - 39mins to 1, then 2 ok, and 30 mins to 3 when it should have taken about 3-5 mins. Then went to 4 which was at the far end of the map and I stopped trying and found some controls in no particular order on the way back.
