Note

Planning bike comute from home in CV to office in WC. Could be good crosstraining, the only problem is clothes change have to keep couple sets at office.

Route from CV to WC via Crow Canyon
38km, xxx climb
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=220615

The most optimal route but crow canyon road is narrow and in some places have to share lane with cars - which is not cool in the morning when one of sleeping drivers can hit you.

via #580
47km, xxx climb
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=220637

Safer but 10km longer route, plus hill along #580 is more aggressive than corw canyon. Actually, once ride this hil wasnt easy at all, but that was after 3+ hours of cycling and some where around 80km from start.

via Redwood rd
45km, xxxx climb
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=220705

Very aggressive climb, narrow winging road, and crazy drivers with no obvious win in milege.

Tilden park at night, to release leftovers of LA after staurday's race. Body still lazy, pace 8mm was demanding. But neccessary because tomorrow will be TT 1mile run. Gol is to make under 5:30 or faster. Will see. Not quite in the good running shape.

Cycling race 2:32:00 [4] * 30.0 km (11.8 kph) +480m
ahr:139 max:170 weight:80.4kg

SF Day&Night 3hours bike O. Actually it was only 2:30h due to late start. First time on bike in a year - didnt ride since last D&N. The hardest part was after 2 hours - body didnt wanted to work, but 2 GUs and drink improved conditions and finish was almost OK.

Another obstacle was technical problems with bike - front derailer was lil of tune which caused chain to drop on the uphills. Also pad with map wasnt secured very well and it slided from handle time from time wich caused unplanned stops and addtitional attention.

Main strategy was to go down hill from start, avoid major climbs, ride flat roads, take richest controls, return to finish on the flattest possible road.

Did couple mistakes by missing turns, coast about 10min. One wasnt so bad but lead througth waste recycling land - smell was awful. Another funny place visited was Candlestick point - next to Hunter's point and didnt look safe at all: croud around looked very suspicious if not dangerous, like in gangs movies, aka 8 miles road. Couple folks raced on the stadium parking lot trying to get max out their muscle cars covered in the clouds of blue smoke... Not a good place for cycling.

My route is here

Cycling 3:00:00 [2]

Easy pedaling with spikes on the uphills while patroling race - aka police action. Saw 4 teams during 3 hours.

Easy run hills 35:17 [3] 6.5 km (5:26 / km) +50m 5:14 / km
slept:7.0 weight:79.4kg shoes: Asix GT-2100

Pretty tired after yesterday's MP run, with T pace fragments. Legs sore and moved slowly in the beginning. Some relief came after 3 miles, last one was good and easy, as it should be.

Body was sore all day long. Right harmstring lil painful but not so bad to prevent from running.

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Lake Chabot from home in the evening. Tried MP pace, but not sure can run more than 20km at such speed. Had idea to run HM upcomming Saturday, around lake Chabot. So left to check route. Realystik pace could be around 8mm,having in mind a lot of climb along the distance.

Maybe start 1 hour later, after official start to run distance as a training session. Will see my condition Sunday morning.

Race record is 1:16min, 1:50 time would be very good.

Stretching 10:00 [3]
