Flat Paddle 45:00 [2] 6.5 km (6:55 / km)
shoes: Epic V12

Technique session. I got Rach to put some gauze and strapping tape over my back before I started and it was pretty good out there.

Went from Kent St jetty down river doing some drills, side pauses, forward catches, trailing hand lift stuff. I also paid a fair bit of attention to my tendency to roll the boat to the left that I would like to get rid of.

Commute 33:30 [3] 16.0 km (28.7 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

Back on the roadie today and the knee was fine. Lots of concentrating on keeping the knee in line throughout the pedal stroke though.

I got stopped by a lollipop man at some maintenance works that have narrowed the freeway bike path. That really is a new low for expectations of people’s stupidity on bikes.

Commute 39:30 [3] 15.9 km (24.2 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

Ride home again. Ended up towing a bunch from the South Perth Jetty to Canning Bridge but none of them would take a turn on the front.

Felt OK so I went over Kitchener at the end.

Run 1:07:00 [3] 10.84 km (6:11 / km) +273m 5:29 / km
ahr:145 max:172 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline 5

Rocked up early to compare my lower back chafe vs Di’s definite arse chafe. Good look for the passerbys

Good run today with the group getting back over 10km again after a few bludgy weeks. Left hammie was still a bit sore at the start but it warmed into it and I was running comfortably by the end.

The start of the run was thankfully slow as I tried to get the legs working, I made a point of striding out a bit up the green mile which helped but with only two of us doing the DNA tower a the top the rest started jogging off so we didn’t get a rest. They did the same following our second rep on the new bridge hill so I was hurting a bit but we just jogged the next section so I got to recover.

Some girl earned style points on the way home. Riding her scooter down Stirling Highway in a tracksuit and thongs this girl had an open chin helmet which meant she didn’t have to put her cigarette out. Pure class.

Ride in, legs felt OK with a slight bit of strain in the left hammie.

practicing good posture today at work since the back chafing does not like my chair.

Ride home into the wind. a little depressing how often I get overtaken on the MTB.
