Hotter today than yesterday or maybe I was just more tired from yesterday's race. I really had to work at staying focused on the second half. Went out at the end so there weren't many people still on the course which makes it more fun than yesterday.

Idaho City, Idaho - biggest factor was the heat, got up into the high 90s by the end of the race. The bit of cloud cover early on really helped...that and the low humidity....drank more water than ever.

Boise, Idaho - off to a bad start...couldn't find my compass and epunch so I just used my old epunch and figured I really didn't need the compass. Didn't really get the right orientation to the 1st control and ended up taking the wrong path, went in the right general direction and luckily got to #2 with no problem then headed back to #1...always something. The rest of the course was fun, a little tricky with the bridges and water features.

Travel day to Idaho, arrived in Stanley this afternoon. Ready for some white water kayaking tomorrow morning! Temps are in the 80s, no clouds, light breeze, water is around 50...tolerable with the wetsuit. Hoping for a good night's sleep tonight.
