Got up on my 1st try...did 2 runs and only quit because it was someone else's turn. Tried to sail board and almost got the sail going but it was really rough...lasted another 15 minutes.

Club Island - ran the established trail then continued on what will be the new section...kind of slow going but good training. Garmin died before the end...added in the missing part.

Hill Island - got off the trail and ran some of the woods that I'm not familiar with...a little slow going til we hit the trail but then it was time to head back. Looks like someone has done some trail work on the S side of the island.

Nature Center trails - we ran Middle, Granite, Narrows, Sand Cove, Middle, East Trails...nice loop...really felt strong.

Charleston Lake - the bridge was still "closed" but we managed to crawl across. The trail was a bit muddy, there's been a lot of rain lately.

Paddled out to Grenadier Island and came back through the Canadian Channel. Light breeze, not a lot of boat traffic, great day to be on the river.

Note

baked cookies...watched Lindsay & Chris wake board. Lindsay got up right away and got in a couple of long rides. Chris looked like a pro out there. ...and Rick decided that it was a lot different from water skiing.

Finished the new trail and walked to measure the distance...I figure 5 loops per hour. Will be good when we don't want to go off island.

3 loops on the new trail...gets a little boring after a while...guess we do need to do the second loop to the far end of the island.

Wesley Island Nature Trails - didn't get there at all last year...lots of improvements on the trails, lots of people hiking. Saw the results of the fire at Thousand Island Park, what a sad event. It happened at midnight and the building housed the fire department so they just had to let it burn.

Took the ferry from Kingston to Wolfe Island, biked across the Island, ferried from WI to Cape Vincent. Lunch with Cindy...biked around CV while waiting for the ferry...biked back across WI and took the ferry back to Kingston where we had a delicious Thai dinner...whoa!

Blue Mountain - ran all the way to Charleston Lake, skipped going up to the top of the mountain. Took a quick cool-off dip in the lake which made the trip back much cooler. Deer flies and mosquitoes inspired speed!

Hill Island to finish off the trail clearing then went for a run on the newly-cleared trails...then a short dip in the river, water hasn't really warmed up much.
