Townsend State Forest - helped set out controls then went out to run but never got into the map. I ended up only doing 3 controls...never found #4 after 2 major attempts. It was particularly annoying since I had set out the control earlier although from a different direction. Needed to bail so that we could leave in time to make the trip back. But it was a beautiful day for running through most of the woods.

Finished! Got the bulbs in the ground, some mulch on top...still need to put more mulch on the black berries, cleaned out most of the other beds. Still need to do a lot of trimming but that needs to wait til things go dormant.

Finally got most of my daffodils back in the ground. Of course, since I had neglected the bed since mid August I needed to get rid of the weeds which had taken over. Now to keep the weeds from growing back.

orienteering race (ROGAINE) 3:49:11 [3] 15.15 km (15:08 / km)

the Laurentian ROGAINE - 4 hour...a good thing that we didn't do the 8 hour since it rained the whole time and continued to rain for another day. Rain wasn't bad for 4 hours but going longer than that would have been really tough since I felt I needed to keep moving to stay warm, no stops to rest. Still a very fun event. Thanks Francis!

Travel day. Tapering for tomorrow. Had a great dinner at a lovely restaurant in Ste. Adele, 20 minutes from the meet site for tomorrow...had dessert, figure I'll earn it although we're only doing the 4 hour.

Jones Creek - Wolf trail and Hawk. Saw the reason that Deer can't connect with Hawk, beavers made their dam just before the junction. It's pretty impressive but definitely rules out any chance of getting across without getting ones feet wet.
I am still feeling the rib injury especially on the downhill parts, may have done a little too much yesterday.
