Orienteering (Lochiel Park Sprint) 20:46 [3] *** 2.4 km (8:39 / km)
17c

Jogged around the short course after registrations were finished and I could abandon my post. Andrew set a fun course - I especially enjoyed the bits in the more complex park area - without my compass (I forgot all my orienteering gear, of course) I had to check my direction carefully a couple of times. An advantage of not moving fast is reasonable navigation and plenty of time to check control descriptions to ensure I don't mispunch.

After packing up the event, Tyson and I went to buy valentines burritos at around 9pm, only to find 2 blocks or so in Glenside that included our burrito shop were without power. Bugger. Toasties it is then.

Run (Belair) 47:00 [3]

Felt much better running tonight - probably because it was finally a bit cooler. Very muggy, though. Jen, Tyson, Biddy, Simon and I ran up to the redwoods to check out the site of the fire on Saturday. Looks like it got pretty close to the redwoods, but the stand of old sequoias escaped unscathed. Good to see the rain has finally put the brakes on the Bangor fire!

Swimming (Aqua physio class) 1:00:00 [2]

Class with Andrea. Apparently it was too hot to do our 5-10 minutes of running up and down the pool, so instead we had to stand on plastic plates and slide up and down. This would have looked hilarious - 20 pregnant ladies shuffling up and down a public pool with plates under their feet! :)

Run (Hawthorndene) 41:00 [3]

Jog with Jen, Tyson, Biddy & Troy starting up Rankey's Hill Road, that reminded me how much less fit I am now than just a few months ago! Nice to chat with Biddy who kindly slowed down to run with me, and the toilet stop half way was appreciated! Probably a bit warm for me to enjoy the run, but the distractions of chatting about Zombeaver, and scaring children with German fairy tales kept me going until the end (I couldn't talk much, and thought about stopping to walk a few times, but managed to shuffle on)!

Walk (Angaston) 50:00 [2]

Went for a walk with Andrea from our B&B while the boys went for a run. So nice and cool this morning! We walked around the town exploring, through some vines and managed to find our way back again. :)
