Orienteering 2:16:16 [4]

Fish Creek Traverse - HIP Orienteering event.
+8C, icy, slushy, downright wet! Ran very well first 12 controls (4th), 2 5-min mistakes in second half, forgot to inhale a 2nd powergel. Last half hour very difficult.

Spin class at World Health. Holy sweat!
As usual - Level 5 intensity.

Weight Training 45:00 [3]

Upper body weights.

Running 50:00 [4] 7.5 km (6:40 / km) +400m 5:16 / km

Running in oval. 16 laps including 4 laps of stair running. Estimated 100m gain for each set. Quite tired.

Wednesday Mar 12, 2003 #

Snowshoeing 2:30:00 [4] 8.0 km (18:45 / km) +1000m 11:32 / km

Snowshoeing with Izzie. Start at Sunshine Village parking lot. Black diamond ski out to Goat's eye chairlift (45min). Climbed 85% up Goat's eye - turned down by fierce winds (100kph!) and drifting snow. Tough work!

Long slow run with colson and izzie. -16C, wind from the east. Pathway/trail conditions good - snow packed. Difficult last 20 min. Distance is just a guess.

Sunday Mar 9, 2003 #

Running 50:00 [3] 9.0 km (5:33 / km)

Olympic Oval - 17 laps +2 sets of stairs. 2:25/lap - felt awful - tired, slow, sore hamstrings.
