orienteering (blue) 2:30:52 [4] 9.8 km (15:24 / km)

OCIN, Flying Pig. Farsta blue. Rain, mud, and hills. I had nothing left after friday and saturday. Faked it through the 6th control before falling apart. Trashed my studded O-shoes on sat so had only non studs for today. Slipping everywhere, fell more today than in previous 3 years of orienteering. Glasses got wet and muddy so had trouble reading map. Made some big mistakes also, worst one when I skipped a short leg (185 to 248) on 2nd loop. Realized my mistake but then could not find the bag anyway. 12:51 on a 1 minute leg.

run (warmup) 5:44 [2] 1.0 km (5:44 / km)

Warmup before farsta.

orienteering 2:06:16 [4] 8.7 km (14:31 / km)

OCIN, Flying Pig, WRE Blue. More hills, more mud. Another unimpressive day. Forget my compass at start and lost 5 min before I even got into the woods. Mistakes all over and to tired to run hard. Way back again.

run (warmup) 9:18 [2] 1.0 mi (9:18 / mi)

Warmup before pig sprint.

orienteering (blue) 1:11:35 [4] 5.27 km (13:35 / km)

OCIN. Flying Pig, Sprint, Blue. 330m climb. Died on the hills and managed to lose my control descriptions before the first control. Mostly good until I spaced on penultimate control. Lost 8 minutes and I came to it from the go control. Finished way way back. Did make one prerace goal and win a leg. Won one and tied for first on another. A moral victory only, since each took only 38 seconds. I may have to change from being a night-O specialist to a Night-O and 38 second leg specialist.

Note

Going to be a bad week for training. Big integration at work so 12 hr+ days and I still have to do my taxes.
