Out earlyish n felt tired n drained from yesterday... over the common first n then back around LT loop. Legs weary n stomach was sore by the end.

From car park to start n then longish warm down along lake n back... Nice.

MDOC Middle Distance at Bleathwaite... without doubt, the most clean run I've ever had - hitting everything spot on; took it conservative in the first 3 in the woods n then picked up on open moor before more caution back in the woods. Finished 2'40 down on Charlie A n Quentin H; I lost 2 mins on them in the first 7 controls which clearly underlines the need to develop the skills to be more confident and aggressive in challenging terrain. Pleased with a fastest split on the moor which clearly underlines that there's nothing wrong with my running. Was a triumph for a new approach to preparation - 5 pints of Bluebird Bitter, a fish supper n poached eggs for breakfast at the Black Bull! Yes, please!

Did a relaxed session on Great Tower - using 2nd part of old course. Took it steady, although still noticed the hills! Was fairly accurate... reading contours n rough compassing.

Up n out early so extended intended run to an 8. Felt quite perky although my stomach is in pain - Sunday was the cause n I further strained it coughing! Ouch... Wet n miserable out.

With Dylan thru Kings to Brand... including a little bit of rugby n US footy using a rugby ball left on KS pitch; enjoying the mud n splodge. Back thru KS and golf course.

12 x 75secs with 45 secs recovery around a very wet and splodgy cricket pitch on Brand Field. Ran them steady/hard rather than all out due to sore lower stomach muscles which worsened as a result of this session. Dylan did 8 of the same.

Awake very early so got up to write n then was out at 6.30. Felt quite perky n legs seem to have eased a tad since yesterday. Drizzly morning.

Decided not to record this as 'official' training but did do a nice relaxing 3 mile stroll in the afternoon which seemed to helped ease the pain a bit...

Nice n easy paced jog/run from Marshalls to school. Felt very leg sore n weary but kept things nice n relaxed. Had aching muscles all day.
