Walking (paved roads) 1:35:27 intensity: (2:17 @0) + (1:10:34 @1) + (22:02 @2) + (34 @3) 8.11 km (11:46 / km) +81m 11:13 / km

Walked with Glen to get streets in the northernmost part of Salisbury Twp (pricey neighborhoods near the Little Lehigh)...10 streets completed on City Strides, 4 progressed. Glen's way ahead of me now in Salisbury Twp. (~35% to ~23%), but I moved ahead of whoever was in 3rd place. Temp about 50F, sunny but a breeze from the west.

Yoga 50:00 [1]

Deanna's class

1 PM

Walking (paved roads) 1:04:20 intensity: (14 @0) + (10:05 @1) + (46:47 @2) + (6:41 @3) + (33 @4) 6.02 km (10:41 / km) +70m 10:06 / km
ahr:108 max:138 shoes: Hoka Bondi7--W9D

Streets in Springfield and Richland Townships before going to the grocery store to get what was on my shopping list (especially bananas) and pick up a prescription. Completed 5, progressed 8.

EDIT: It was close to 60F! Lighter jacket/hat and no gloves; just a few light sprinkles in the last mile or so.

Hips very tight after yoga this morning, but didn't hold me back any. Rt knee and below the knee, as usual, ache, but don't usually interfere with my stride.

Streets in West Orange. City Strides hasn't updated yet but I think I completed 9 streets (EDIT: only 8, but progressed 8). Low to mid 40s and mostly cloudy; it hadn't cleared out/warmed up yet like after lunchtime where it got to low 60s and sunny. Hope this hangs around for a few days!

Yoga 50:00 [1]

Note

Took my car to get TPMS fixed...they put a new sensor in the front passenger side.

Note
(rest day)

Letting my legs rest (sore muscles and joints, and an apparently bruised shin, though I don't recall hitting anything on either of my two sideslip falls yesterday). Busy day anyway. Tomorrow there's yoga, then a trip to get my car's tire pressure sensors looked at...a faulty one is causing the light to stay on, annoyingly.

Managed 3rd out of 5 on Saturday, even with my multiple errors, behind Linda and Judy. Much cleaner today, just a couple of minutes behind Janet F. (and ahead of Linda who had trouble on #3), to finish 2nd for the weekend. Awards were cheesy crowns (not made of cheese; more like slightly-better-than-Burger-King quality) and a certificate to be emailed at some later date.

Amy's cookies at the finish were appreciated by all, as always at QOC events. I don't know how she does it! Thanks also to all who helped QOC organizers put on this event.

Orienteering race (Brown X classic) 1:09:59 intensity: (7:11 @1) + (7:11 @2) + (19:55 @3) + (30:45 @4) + (4:57 @5) ** 4.99 km (14:02 / km) +146m 12:14 / km

Royal Romp day 2 at Prince William Forest, Pine Grove map at 1:10000 (as they were both days); 4.0 km, 165m climb nominal. A bit colder this morning even though we started a bit later; only upper 30s and cloudy. At least there was less breeze than yesterday. Expecting (and getting!) more climb, I extended my hiking pole today, and used it mostly crossing gullies and climbing hills. (Yesterday I just carried it around the course.)

Mostly good navigation today, with a slight hook to get to the controls at 1 and 6. I intentionally went past #7 on my way out to the road toward #1; closer in, parts of the control circle covered detail that would have been useful in the circle. Comparing with others perhaps the straighter route to 2, up and over the ridge past the road, might have been a bit faster than going around on the road, but climbing is not my forte.

AP as usual gives me an error on the run in. Most people can sprint faster than they move through the forest, but I was running as fast as I can in this body at this time, trying to stay ahead of people behind me. :-)
