WCOC/Osbornedale, Derby, CT. Good thing I didn't pick the 6.1k Red course with even more climb! We went up and over the high point of Osbornedale Park again, and again, and again, mostly straight up too--blech. Went by #8 on the way to 2, again on the way to 4, and finally visited it after #7. :-) Speaking of #7, waterhole, I missed it (too high on the hill) and relocated from the trail fairly close by. 1st woman/2nd overall on Green course (1st place was ~69:00).

Thanks to WCOC for the exercise! I needed hill practice...

66S, to check out a scrub tree with orange/red berries. I haven't identified it yet... Crossed to the "wrong" side of the street to avoid the vicious dog (I just let him bark and don't look him in the eye, but he scares the h*** out of me).

Rider's Mills loop run - south on rail-trail to Dorland, Dorland to Rider's Mills Rd., back to start. First couple of miles fairly flat, then a steep downhill (split 3), then a gentler uphill back to start.

Wanted more dirt road than available around home and also more woods for protection from the wind. Only Rider's Mills Rd. was paved (the last mile).

Another good workout. [No knee pains this week; they twinge occasionally.] I chose overhead bench presses with free weights over pushups because of past injuries to right shoulder and knee. I also impressed the (female) instructor with overhead tricep dips using 15 lbs...

66N and Pratt Rd. Had to walk the last 0.1 of the first mile (biggest hill) but ran the rest pretty much. Light rain started at the turn-around point; temp. in the low 40's.
