On mostly pavement, in search of snow geese, at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area (
webcam; check during daylight hours). We arrived at the viewpoint while they were still on the water, some took off once, and then all of a sudden they all (almost all) departed for the fields or the air. We've been here before during the peak migration; it's always inspiring to see. The FB feed (below the webcam video) counted 70,000 snow geese, 750 Canada Geese, and 800 Tundra swans, all of which we saw along with some random ducks and gulls. Pictures, maybe, tomorrow.
