Note

OK, no way I was going out today - getting in and out of the tub/shower was enough of an adventure.

Weird day, with the start and finish being remote, so there was lots of waiting around waiting for people to come back and download, and minimal people to take to in the meantime. However, it was all made good by hanging with the wonderful DVOA event personnel, as well as with nine year old Nicole A, who was waiting for her family to return to take her out.

I found something else to do while Sandy handled the missing runners and Amy all the stuff she usually does.

On the road and home by 6 PM. In the door, and there is Pepper up a flight, dancing up and down the top two stairs. I race upstairs, aching joints forgotten, to receive the best home coming EVER!! Wiggling, licking, squirming, and loving. It went on for a long time. So very pleasing. Roger was there too, an afterthought. ;-)

In other news, Pepper is starting to play with things more, and she is less frightened of normal things. For example, a week ago, showing her a stick was massively frightening to her.

So, here is the "Pepper with the Magic Stick" video for your viewing pleasure.

Decided at the last possible moment to go out on a course. Had to borrow Amy's shoes, since I hadn't brought any of my own, because, well, I hadn't intended to go out on this weekend, since Achilles pain has been joined by barking knees.

But, after being reminded to put on my ankle braces, off I went.

Visited lots of OOB on from 3-4. Then a bit of a detour to the last control. Oops, and then Agh!

But, I had a blast, what with being outside on a beautiful Fall day, on a map, and all the rest. So pleased.
2 PM

Really didn't think I could convince my aching joints to going a second time in the same day, but I love campus sprints so much, that it was easier to motivate myself to get going. My own shoes this time - trainers being sufficient for the event. AP says no time lost, though I did get close to 9 before I corrected to 8.

Again, this was so much fun, a bonus to the weekend.
