Group ride w the GBNEMBA gang at Beaver Brook. Left my gloves at home, but otherwise was OK for the first hour or so, including up and down to the water tower. One of the practiced skills was going over a branch/log, maybe 5" diameter. No problems.

Then, I failed to negotiate a branch, same size, went end over, and landed on my shoulder. Fast forward: fractured clavicle.

I'm extremely fortunate not to have landed primarily on my head or neck.

First 5 legs of Pelle's Green course at Prospect Hill. Woods were much greener, with a few new ponds from snowmelt where there weren't before. Tried to contour around on the leg over the old ski runs, and wound up way far north. Redid the leg with spikes that went from down low to way up there (maybe 5-6 contours @ 5m per). Then, from control 5, headed back to the parking lot via the summit.
