Mountain biking 1:10:00 [1] 9.0 km (7:47 / km)
All data are guesses since my fully charged (as of last night) Garmin claimed "Low battery" today and refused to stay powered on. Grr.
My technique has greatly improved. I made it up the switchback-filled water tower trail without dabbing, also, later on the steep, short, shale slope without slipping out, falling over, or stopping. Then, at the very end, there was a bit of a sudden slowdown just shy of a parking lot, and I fell over when I couldn't unclip. Later, I noticed I'd dropped a bolt from my cleat. Maybe before the fall, maybe at the fall.
In positive news, we rode to (and I fixed in my memory the location of) the pump track (off the NE stone wall corner of the burial ground), so the next time I try to ride it solo, it should be a better outcome.
