Orienteering race 2:23:38 [3] 6.2 km (23:10 / km)
ahr:144 max:182 shoes: Jalas2

Beaver Brook Red course. Several good legs, one atrocious one.

Face planted in the first 5 minutes, falling on the same L forearm as last weekend. Ugh.

Road running 36:00 [1] 4.3 mi (8:22 / mi)
ahr:154 max:172 shoes: BA8

Ran from work to the hardware store, the library, then back to work. Sunny, but cool in the shade. What a thrill to wear shorts + Tshirt the week before Thanksgiving.

Picked up the next Baldacci thriller at the library, along with some DVDs that I bet will be forgettable.

Easy treadmill workout to gauge how the blood donation affects performances.

Cycling 12:00 [1] 2.0 mi (6:00 / mi) +50m 5:34 / mi

Took a vacation day from work to rest from the Traverse, rake some leaves, and enjoy nice weather. There was a blood drive today up Salisbury St from home so I biked there.

No strenuous activity post-donation was no problem, since it was mostly uphill going, pre-donation, and mostly downhill post-donation. I didn't bother to pump up my tires, but the bike handled very squishily. I feared the rear wheel was not locked securely into the QR, but made it home safely.

Triceps extremely sore from catching myself by tree limbs on downhills yesterday. I think other AP'ers have reported similar physical effects.
