Orienteering race 45:55 [4] 4.0 km (11:29 / km)
ahr:148 max:182 shoes: Jalas2

Cat Rock Park-O. Good contact, but I cannot read the map while moving at top speed. I got confused a bit by the thickets in the open area 6-7-8, and missed #12 to the left.

AOWN: Aside one of the trails behind the ball field, a newborn fawn was curled up, motionless, and occasionally crying out for Mom, who was nearby, but I think was spooked by all the human traffic. I hope that after the guy in the nearest house finished mowing his lawn and all the humans left, Mom returned to take care of her newborn. As I was leaving the parking lot, a couple of Weston police were there to investigate.

Orienteering race 2:29:12 [4] 5.9 km (25:17 / km) +220m 21:19 / km

Club champs red course, at Mt. Tom. Hotter than I was acclimatized for, navigation was sloppy in a couple of places, but when I bore down and concentrated, it was some of the best navigation I've done in a long time.

Orienteering 20:00 [1] 0.5 km (40:00 / km)
