Phil's Green course at Norwottuck. Nice course, thick woods, hot and humid. Did fine going to #1, went to the wrong spur (with a control on it) for 2, but then figured it out ok from there. Crossed the powerline a little L of the line, didn't ever see the larger trail, so wondering about that. Possible I was east of it. Across the reentrant and up until I hit the trail. Started left but it looked wrong, so R until the slight dip and then up. The reentrant wasn't at all obvious from below, but hit the broader reentrant just fine, and then the narrow one was visible from there. R around the hilltop, then across the powerline to the trail, trail S a couple of bumps and then down the reentrant. Cut left of the reentrant looking for the pair of knolls, found several, but apparently not the right ones, back to the reentrant and uphill, and then it was pretty easy. Decided to go straight for 5, up and down, counting ridge tops, thinking I would hit the trail, and then hit something that might have been a grown over trail, and the next reentrant was facing N, so headed up that, looking for the control, getting increasingly overheated, and decided I was getting hot enough that I needed to get out of there., Thought for a while that I would head to 8 and thence to the water stop, maybe 9 and 10, or maybe straight in, but lost my enthusiasm for that and just wandered back to the start, not by a very direct route. Good I got out of there before I had some kind of incident. Nice chatting up Phil, Karen Muffati, and then back home.
