spent the night at the hospital with Rhonda. She is better today than yesterday, had a CAT scan this morning, of which we await results. Deepest difficulty for her is she has been on n.p.o. since she got in and would desperately like to sneak at least a glass of water. Still pumping her full of various liquids and chemicals. In the context of L&F, her g is still way up, mood improving.
Note
CAT scan revealed an abscess, so back in to radiology for more imaging to get the position right, and then a needle through the skin into the abscess to set up a drain. A thoroughly unpleasant experience, but reasonably satisfactory once complete. Has to continue to drain for some indeterminate period, but nutrition is supposed to start tomorrow, and that is something to look forward to. Likely to be here for several days yet.
