Orienteering race 1:51:32 intensity: (9 @0) + (1:30 @1) + (38:21 @2) + (1:02:35 @3) + (8:55 @4) + (2 @5) *** 7.6 km (14:41 / km)

Red Course at Sessions Woods. Very tired after my long trip home last night, and hamstring sore from all the driving. Cold and wet day, including a significant stream crossing.

Imaginative use of the map, and some legs we haven't seen before - a pretty good achievement when this map gets so much use. One pretty bad lapse of attention, and then a big time loss when I didn't cross the stream up high, and ended up fighting laurel for a very long stretch until I got by enough of the rocky stuff to plunge in and get across. Otherwise slow and tender, but basically fine.

Now it would be nice to learn how to superimpose a track on an o-map.

from the house W along the bike path. Raining pretty hard on the way out, and mostly running. Drier on the way back and mostly walking. With R & J.

Hike 2:10:56 intensity: (12:06 @0) + (37:27 @1) + (48:42 @2) + (31:46 @3) + (55 @4) 6.66 mi (19:40 / mi) +600m 15:22 / mi

Hiking up Kealia trail with Rhonda to really spectacular lookout over Makua valley. Lots of switchbacks in first half, then a dirt road that climbs and climbs. Jogged some of the way back, and it seemed even steeper coming down than it was going up. Turned off the watch at the car, but apparently not with enough zip, because I looked 20 minutes later and it was still going. Can I edit it?
