NOY 3 at the Chimney. Had a good first half, was moving the best I've felt in a while and my Nav was really good. Caught up to Dad at 12, then it all fell apart. Drifted wide to 13, wasn't terrible but definitely extra distance and climb, probably up to a min slower. Then absolutely minced 14, I was standing above it but didn't see. Kept going, got confused, relocated and Dad had caught me. Did the same thing again except this time I saw the control. Easily 2 mins dropped here.
To 15, I hit just above the control, ran past, didn't see. Ran back past, didn't see. Dad caught me again. Tried again and this time I did see, it was so obvious I honestly don't know how I didn't see it the 2 times before. Another minute here.
To 16, I ended up at the quarry and knew I had to angle back to the right. I honestly don't know how I compassed so bad but I ended up near 1, nowhere near 16!! Came back and Dad had already punched and was running away. Probably close to another 2 mins here.

So 49-50 was definitely possible, a result I would have been pleased with given my lack of training. I was 1 second down on Rob at 12, however I doubt I could have matched the pace in the final third. Frustrating!
