Orienteering 16:26 [5] 2.5 km (6:34 / km)
shoes: Nike Flyknit Lunar2

Aus Sprint. Had a raging sore throat yesterday and this morning so wasn't feeling the best. Ran ok though in the end. Lost 20 secs or so going along the wrong building gap to #4 but that probably wouldn't have changed my placing in the end. Came 9th so not too bad for me.

Orienteering race 40:04 [5] 6.2 km (6:28 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #3

Aus Middle. Somehow missed #2 so on the back foot early but had a reasonable early section otherwise. A little bit wobbly in the first rocky loop then bad exit direction to 12. I was struggling to hang on to the back of Eskil here, who had caught me but then he made an error on #16, which so did I just pulling up too early. So was able to hang onto the back some more until the next long leg towards the spectator where I ran out of puff big time. Very slow through the last loop to the finish. Came 12th but only 40 secs off 8th, ah well

Orienteering race 1:30:59 [4] *** 13.5 km (6:44 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #3

WA long champs at Spice Brook. Was pouring rain all morning so not very pleasant conditions. Was one of the late starters which sucked a bit. And was disappointed to find out it wasn't a NOL! I can't understand why not. Anyway I haven't done much long distance stuff recently so just aimed to cruise around and save myself for tomorrow. Took me a bit to get into it, found myself drifting off line several times. Had a good section in the middle but then slacked back off through the shrubby sections a bit. Ended up a surprising 7th, only just behind 6th and 5th.
On another note my official time was 1 min slower than my Garmin, dunno what's happened there.

Running 27:35 [3] 6.5 km (4:15 / km)

Run from Dads to Dixon park and back. The stir fry I had less than hour before was delicious and I got to taste it a few more times during.
