9 AM

Orienteering race 35:36 [5] *** 6.35 km (5:36 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x talon 212 #3

State League #13 at the Tank Paddock, new map! Started a bit cautiously and then hurt my ankle a bit somehow on the way to 3, but got into the map better through the next couple and was hitting them well. Into the paddock and it was kinda weird, the nav was like green level for a few controls and you could open up a bit. Stopped too early on #15 but wouldn't have lost much time at all. Could have run a bit straighter to #20 as well. Anyway was pretty happy with my run. But Greg Barbour got me by 21 secs!! Obviously was just not running fast enough!

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 2.5 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Flyknit Lunar2

For both events

Orienteering race 18:35 [5] ** 4.11 km (4:31 / km)
shoes: Nike Flyknit Lunar2

State League #12 Sprint #1 at Booragul. Couple of small hesitations and times where I started going the wrong way or a way I couldn't go because of fences. Missed the good route choice from 8-9. Came out on top by 9 secs though.
2 PM

Orienteering race 15:54 [5] *** 3.27 km (4:52 / km)
shoes: Nike Flyknit Lunar2

State League #12 Sprint #2 at Glendale. Small area but reasonably complex with lots of different levels. Started slower through the first 4, picked a trickier way to 5 then was needed but got into the map a bit better after that. Again lots of small hesitations but no significant errors and somehow felt better running than the morning. Got up again by about 30 - 40 secs.

Running 30:21 [3] 6.0 km (5:04 / km)
shoes: Nike Flyknit Lunar2

Slow run. Felt ok to start but the sore legs from Sunday kicked back in and I took it easy home
