NSW long and NOL. Wasn't feeling very motivated at all beforehand and was overly cautious early, couldn't get my head into the map or scale. Didn't have a good enough plan to 5 and lost contact in the vague, trying to relocate off termies. Luckily I came across the small watercourse near the circle and was able to get it from there (a fist pump moment), but still lost 2-3 mins in hesitation. Parto caught me 2 mins by 6 and we duelled through the next couple. I was too high on both 7 and 8 which was annoying. Got away from Parto slightly through 10, the drink control, mainly because I'd forgot to bring a gel today and saw no point in stopping. However I then blew the advantage by overrunning 11, getting to 12 first. Parto had a gap on me coming out of 12 and it took everything I had to not let him get out of sight going round the hill to 13. Caught back up but then we were off on 14, some more time lost. Had a quick drink at 15 but couldn't remember if i'd punched the control or not so had to backtrack slightly afterwards. Was just hanging onto the back of Parto for these next few controls but then got in front on the way to 18 and lead him round the last loop. However we both lost another minute at 24, standing pretty much next to the control but not seeing it.

So overall too many errors cost me today. Running didn't feel too bad once I got into the course but didn't feel strong through the terrain early. Not sure how I placed as I left pretty soon after to go to Groovin.

NOL sprint relay. Running 2nd in a team with Nic, Parto and Michele. Nicola did a good job sending me out just behind Andrew and Josh. Had the longer split with Andrew and was chasing him down. We both made a little error on the way to 4 and got confused at the wrong numbered 5. Caught Rob Baker I think it was, and the 3 of us dueled a bit through the bush controls although I fell off the back a bit being cautious with my ankles and not being as clean as I could have. Was a little behind Josh, Ash, Andrew and Rob at the spectator but put the hammer down in the last loop and we formed a pack to the finish, sending Parto out in a good pack of runners. Didn't feel as strong as I would have liked running today but the time was ok I guess, hard to gauge with the splitting.

Easy run, trying to turn over my legs a bit. Been really tired the last few days after Easter, today was no exception. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

Last day of Easter. Probably my worst run, was so scrappy in the circle and didn't hit anything well. Extremely tired too. Couldn't catch back up to Robbie after the first pivot which was disappointing. Was kinda surprised at my placing at the end, finally snuck inside the top 10, and finished 10th overall just behind the guys in front of me so pretty stoked with that. Top 10 was my goal over Easter. If only my nav was a bit cleaner..

Easter long. Wasn't sure how this was going to go today, didn't really feel motivated. Found the first 5 controls tough going which drained my energy bit and was worryingly tired on the long leg to 6. The SI not working threw me a bit and I was a bit off to 7 and slow to 8. Had a gel and a drink and picked up a lot, felt like I was running much stronger to 12. Wasn't too bad to 13, 14 but was off to 15 as I was taking my gel mid leg. Tried to push hard on the tracks still but felt very tired around 16 and 17. Picked up again though and felt like I finished strongly from there which was surprising. Ended up in 11th and just outside the top 10 once again, but it was a pretty reasonable result given my lack of long distance form atm.
