Having an awesome time.
Not sure if I'm particularly healthy or not.
Yesterday in the sprint I just felt slow and my breathing felt a bit off, then I was sick in the stomach afterwards.
Today in the long I absolutely died after control 5. Felt pretty much like my training had counted for nothing, was moving so sluggishly. Then a little because of that I made some stupid errors as I struggled through the hot open, then afterwards as well, mistakes that I hadn't done anything like in training leading up to jwoc. Was just looking forward to being finished so early on and it was so rough because of how long I was taking.
On top of that, I now think I may have injured my foot a bit today. On the way to 3 I trod on a rock with basically just my big toe and that put a lot of force through my foot. I thought I ran it off but I guess I just managed to tune it out since now it hurts to walk on and if I press into my foot it is a fairly servere pain.
So frustrating as my running was feeling absolutely awesome a few days before competition started.
Skipping the ice caves tomorrow in the hopes of a full recovery. Might be overly hopeful but as much improvement as I can get the better.
