Orienteering 1:19:29 [5] 6.7 km (11:52 / km)

WCOC Autumn Adventure A Meet: Day 2 Red
Physically much better than the day before. The woods were really fun to run in, and overall felt much faster than Saturday. However, I had some sloppy legs where I gave away 1-2 minutes on hesitation or bobbles. However the story of the day was the last control. In my haste, I mis-read the map, thinking I needed to be to the right of the uncrossable fence that I had just come through to get control 14. I crunched through crap for 300 meters, before I really realized my mistake, and then fruitlessly searched for a safe crossing point on the fence. A number of people who made the same mistake climbed the fence. However, I was too chicken, and worried that I'd damage the fence and relations with the land owner. I ended up running back through the green and finally down through the apple orchard to the final control, taking 11:28 on a leg that should have been under 90 seconds. Ouch!

WCOC Autumn Adventure A Meet: Day 1 Red
Lousy run - blew 3-4 minutes on the second control, hamstrings very tight. Just never got my motors running, either mentally or physically.

Blueberry Hill loop. Felt sluggish and tight in the hamstrings. Trails very wet/muddy following yesterday's storm.
